How to Create an NPPES Account (Step-by-Step Guide)

NPPES (National Plan & Provider Enumeration System) is the official system where healthcare providers register for an NPI (National Provider Identifier). An NPI is required for submitting claims, eligibility checks, billing, and many other healthcare transactions.

Step 1 — Go to the NPPES Website

  1. Open your web browser.
  2. Visit the official NPPES login and registration page:

 Step 2 — Start the Registration

  1. On the homepage, look for “Create or Manage an Account”.
  2. Click Create a New Account.

Step 3 — Enter User Information
